Gracie May – Courtesy Post- is adopted!

Gracie May, 9 month old Basset hound. She is a pure-bred, but is not registered; and is not yet been spayed. Due to work change, the owner does not have the proper time to spend her and has asked me to foster her. Gracie is a loving girl, gets along well with other dogs and all people. If there is any other info that you would like, just let me know.

Thanks,

Macy – is adopted!

Macy is sweet, 7 year old Cocker Spaniel. She is very good-natured and is quite relaxed. She walks well on a leash, knows basic commands and listens well. She is good with people, other dogs, and absolutely loves kids! She does need a home that is a bit quieter as too much activity stresses her out. While she is great with kids and adores them, a home with multiple children or very loud and rambunctious teenagers would be a bit much for Macy to deal with everyday.Macy went for a behaviour assessment through the Pacific Animal Therapy Society and passed with flying colours. She is all clear to visit nursing homes and other such places where she can spread joy and happiness to those who come in contact with her. She even has an ID tag and bus pass for the special work she does with people through PATS. Macy had a skin rash when she first came into GVAC’s care, but it has cleared up well with eating some hypo-allergenic food and adding some omega fatty acids into her food for an extra boost. Lamb and rice seems to keep things clear for her and stop her from itching. Macy is otherwise very healthy - she is spayed, fully vaccinated, and has been treated for worms and fleas.

Baby Cakes and Baby Blue are Adopted!

(Animosh) or Namoosh ~Is adopted!

(Animosh – means dog in First Nation; English – Namoosh)

Namoosh is an 10 month old male  shepherd x. He will grow to be a large dog.

He is currently fostered at a dog daycare and is doing great playing with other dogs. He is well socialized with many types of dogs and people.  He was briefly introduced to dog savvy cats and was very good with them. He has lots of energy so even though he likes children his energy may be a bit much for smaller children.

Namoosh was picked up as a stray. He has been dewormed, de flead and vaccinated and neutered.
Here’s what his foster dad had to say about him:

Namoosh was timid at first, did not know how to play with the other dogs, but is doing well now. Likes to bark a lot at them, but at least he is trying hard. He really gets along well with all people, but sometimes he will over play and get out of control. So be careful around little ones. Since he is getting the proper food now his energy level has gone up every day, so be prepared for a busy dog.

He is eating and sleeping in his crate and learning basic commands easily. He wants to please just needs some proper attention and love and will turn out to be a great dog!

If you would like to adopt Namoosh, please email us at info@animalcrusaders.ca
